Trump thinks people's loyalty is their reward for doing their job of supporting TRUMP and anything TRUMP says.

While this is lamentable, it is also nothing new. Nepotism/patronage is as old as humanity itself.

For anyone who wants to read what can happen when you reward having the "right" opinion on Roe v. Wade instead of having actual experience relevant to the job you've been hired to do, I highly recommend the book Imperial Life in The Emerald City by Rajiv Chandrasekaran.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_Life_in_the_Emerald_City

In the book, Chandrasekaran describes how lots of fresh-faced Young Republicans, whose only real work experience consisted of being campaign staffers for GOP politicians, were put "in charge" of transforming Iraqi society from a despotic Sunni-dominated totalitarian state to a Shia-dominated nominal democracy. The results were predictably (and tragically) awful.

All politicians reward loyalty and punish treachery. Anyone who doesn't is a fool.

The best person for the job is someone who is loyal. Talent is cheap. There are plenty of capable people. What is in short supply are people who aren't establishment insider, bought and paid for, trash.

There are two crowds in the GOP that didn't support Trump, the establishment insiders (who are complete traitors), and the "true conservatives" (who felt Trump wasn't conservative enough).

The "true conservatives" showed a massive error in judgement, but they deserve some mercy. The establishment republicans must be punished.

  • well yes to some extent all politicians reward their favourites and punish those who disagreed.. but, but, but in most systems those, *favourites* would still ALL be suitably qualified, experienced Politicians...rather than people who got rewarded for nothing more than being yes men.

Rudi Giuliani was an absolute champ on 9/11, and I think he would be a great secretary of state, too. Just as long as he doesn't delete any classified emails. ;)

He is a disgusting perverted sleazeball. He paraded his mistress Judy Nathan (his current wife) in front of this then-wife  Donna Hanover and their children years ago. Flaunted the affair. Rubbed his wife's face in it. He isn't worth sh ** in my view righty. I don't give a dam* how tough or smart he is. He is worth nothing to me. His kind are not worth having around. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday! :)
