PET says "I disavow the group". Truth/lie? Why?

After tapes surfaced showing a white supremacist group giving Nazi-style salutes as they celebrated the PET victory. PET FINALLY said he didn't want to energize the group so he disavows it. Believe the guy? Or dis? Why?

    He disavowed the KKK during and before the campaign. So why are you shocked that he would continue to disavow a racist group?
