Dr Ben Carson is a noted RETIRED pediatric neurosurgeon. Brilliant and accomplished. How does that qualify him to be Head of HUD?

PET is considering him for that job and Carson is considering the offer.  Aren't heads of things supposed to be knowledgeable about them? Housing and Urban Development does not seem to be on  Carson's resume.  What expertise/direction/guidance will he bring to that job if he were to accept it?

He is SO FAR FROM BRILIANT it is terrifying.   He is not qualified to wipe his own ....

He is about as great a doctor as Trump is a businessman.  He takes his accomplishments and blows them way out of what the accomplishment was to make him look fantastic.  He eliminates all the facts that prove he is far from it.

Sharonna!  Take it easy on the doctor. He is not massively wealthy because he would take patients who were impoverished and save them. He has taught others about how to separate Siamese twins. He has helped mankind in many ways. All that and he is from the rough streets of Detroit. Did you see the movie about him? Google; 'Ben Carson movie".

  • You are absolutely right that heads of ANYTHING are supposed to be knowledgeable - that's kinda the point.. they need a wealth of experience and understanding of ALL the intricate details and factors and understanding of external pressures and how they fit with other demands... Otherwise the result will be bad decisions and things going badly wrong :(

Like his campaign, a lack of expertise will surely be a hallmark of the Trump administration. Heck, he has Ivanka and her husband ready to play a major role in running our country. Carson probably figured he might as well jump on the bandwagon. The absurdity of it all is mind boggling. Like it or not, we are now living in the movie "Idiocracy."

Well, being a disgraced commissioner for International Arabian Horse Association meant Michael ("Heckuva job, Brownie") Brown was well-qualified to be the head of the FEMA....;-D...

I'm sure The Donald is applying the "logic" which worked so well for the previous GOP administration....;-D...

Actually, some political observers believe this is part of GOP strategy. A major GOP trope is essentially, "Government doesn't work, therefore it should be downsized/eliminated." The evidence the GOP uses for this assertion is the incompetent bungling of government officials...such as Heckuvajob Brownie. By placing incompetent political flunkies in various administrative positions, the GOP ***ENSURES*** that government doesn't work.

Apparently, much like with The Donald himself, American voters are too stupid to pick up on the scam.
