PET is a hard working fellow. Billionaires really spend a lot of time thinking about stuff.

    Yep, thinking about...

--How to screw over the IRS

--How to screw his workers out of their wages

--How to screw his creditors out of their investments

--How to convince Daddy to bail him out when he screws up

    --Etc., etc., etc.

He Twitter rants 24/7. He is so busy Twitter ranting that's all he does and all he will ever do. He gets off on it. Thank you for your reply bh and Happy Tuesday! :)

I don't hate Trump. He is the same narcissistic self-promoting con man buffoon he has always been.

The people I "hate" are the ones who fell for his act and projected their political fantasies ("He's the Shining White Knight Who Will Come Into Washington, Waive his Magic Sword, and Slay All Corruption!") upon him, resulting in the political situation we have now.

I don't hate anyone OS. I think PET is off his rocker. I read that he wants to revoke citizenship and jail anyone who burns the flag!  I expect if he gets away with that he will extend it to anyone who criticizes him. Free speech will be a joke because he will be watching and listening and having finks/snitches watch and listen too. He is a nutjob for sure and has no clue that he hasn't been sworn in yet but is already showing us how nutty he is and he will get nuttier the more power he has. Mahalo for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :)

Absolutely no bias at all in that premise, right?  Of course he's the opposite to you, someone who looks for every negative imaginable about him.  Gee, I wonder what would happen if you actually tried to get to know him better or to know about him better.

The more I like a person? Lemme see...

I don't like Trump as a person. I think he's an ass, tbh. I wouldn't like to personally know him, and I'm glad I don't. But......I think he's the right man for the job. It's not about having a person I like as president, it's about having somebody who is capable as president. Nice guys don't run businesses, nice guys don't run countries. Think about the job you have, or a job you used to have, for example. Would you prefer a boss that you personally like? A boss you think is a nice guy? Someone who would let people slack off? A pushover? Not very book-smart? A person who's easily intimidated? Or would you rather have someone who is the opposite? Which one do you think will make the business the most successful? I know which one I'm going with.

It's not going to happen overnight, OS. It will take time. And I think he's going to do so well, we're all going to give him another 4 years! :-)

@righty1 -- And what EVIDENCE do you have for that belief, other than "He's Rich and Famous, so he must know what he's doing!"?

You are the epitome of my assertion about Trump voters imagining him to be the Magic White Knight who Will Slay Teh Ebil Establishment.

"He's Rich and Famous, so he must know what he's doing!"?

LOL! There's lots of people who are rich and famous, OS, but I wouldn't give them the job. ;)

Look, it came down to 2 main candidates who pitched to the nation for this job interview. The one who won is the guy I believe is the best person for the job, and there are many others who agree with me. You believe I fell for it? That's okay. I'm fine with that. You want to stereotype me because I don't hold the same views as you? That's okay, too. Go ahead. It's what I expect.

@righty1 -- I offered up the stereotype...and YOU confirmed you fit it.

If you had led off with a realistic evaluation of Trump and said, "He's not much, but in the end I still think he'll do better than HRC would have." I would respect that view. I would DISAGREE with it, but I'd respect it.

That's NOT what you did. Instead, you led of with "Trump is the Magic White Knight Who Will Be So Awesome I Can't Wait To Vote For Him Again in 4 Years!"  and only backed off of that stance when I called you out on your BS.

Again, what is your EVIDENCE that Trump will do as well as you predict, other than "He's Rich and Famous...and Rich/Famous people GET S**T DONE, CHAMP!"?

If your justification for voting for him is going to be a mix of Authoritarian slurping and wishful thinking, you should expect some criticism. This post was edited by OldSchoolTheSKOSlives at November 28, 2016 7:06 PM MST

"I offered up the stereotype...and YOU confirmed you fit it."

I don't care if I fit your stereotype. It doesn't bother me one bit. I'm just happy that I'm not the one stereotyping people.

"If you had led off with a realistic evaluation of Trump and said, "He's not much, but in the end I still think he'll do better than HRC would have." I would respect that view. I would DISAGREE with it, but I'd respect it."

I don't care either way. I don't come on here just to agree with Old School, and I'm not here just for Old School's respect. I come here to speak my mind and it isn't harming anyone.

    "That's NOT what you did."

    I know. Good.

"Instead, you led of with "Trump is the Magic White Knight Who Will Be So Awesome I Can't Wait To Vote For Him Again in 4 Years!"  and only backed off of that stance when I called you out on your BS."

I never said anywhere that Trump is the magic white knight. Only you claiming I think that. I didn't back away from any stance. I'm still here! LOL! And you haven't called me out on any BS. Except the "BS" that  personally fits your interpretation of BS because you don't agree with it.

"Again, what is your EVIDENCE that Trump will do as well as you predict, other than "He's Rich and Famous...and Rich/Famous people GET S**T DONE, CHAMP!"?"

There's no evidence. Because Hilary destroyed it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! But, in all seriousness, there is no evidence anyway because he isn't in yet. We don't know if he's going to do a good job, I just think he will. His pitch was better than Hilary's. Am I fitting in to your stereotype again? Am I deplorable? Should I go outside and rev my truck really loudly? LET'S GO CHAMP!!!

"If your justification for voting for him is going to be a mix of Authoritarian slurping and wishful thinking, you should expect some criticism."

Wishful thinking. That's what you think. And, yes, I expect criticism...from people who have a different opinion than my own. That's life.

@R1 -- OK, thank you for admitting you had NO RATIONAL BASIS for voting for Trump.

You: "I think Trump will do a good job!"
    Me: "Why?"

    You: "Because!"

No, you don't "owe" me a rational explanation. But if you don't have one, I don't know why you're getting so butthurt about being criticized for not having a rational explanation. You're admitting my criticisms of you are accurate.

That's like you getting upset because I point out you're wearing shoes when you are, in fact, wearing shoes. Why would that prompt you to get defensive and butthurt?

    You're wrong about that. I ain't butthurt.

    This is butthurt.

Not butthurt. I am Happy. :D

I have a rational explanation, it's just that you don't agree that it's rational. I stand by my original comment to which I answered Rosie's question. You view him as rich and famous, which he is. But he's rich and famous because of his prolific success in business. He knows money, he knows what's a good deal and what's a bad one, Hilary doesn't, and that was obvious in the way he schooled Hilary in the debates. And he schooled her bigly.
