Since they met in person, Trump has had frequent telephone consultations with President Obama. What do you think they've discussed?

According to RCP's Alexis Simendinger, the private view inside the White House is that Trump needs all the help he can get while rocketing from private businessman to leader of the free world. In interviews and exchanges with reporters, Obama has diplomatically suggested that Trump’s learning curve is steep, but he has commended him as practical and not ideological.

    Probably about the transition of power, mostly. And Trump probably wants to tap into Obama's perspective to see if he can learn anything that may be helpful, or not.

    While I appreciate President Obama being classy and suggesting Trump has been "practical," Trump's announced picks for various cabinet positions indicate he is being VERY ideological.

    That's Obama. Polite and accomodating to the last (except with respect to whistleblowers and his left-wing critics).
