Do you ever eat the shell when you make boiled eggs?

Good source of calcium.

    Yes I have, but that's because a piece of the shell somehow got into my boiled egg.

  • No, not my thing I am afraid. I have cooked them, ground them and spread them among plants to try to prevent slug damage.. but I wouldn't like the texture..

  • Never thought of it. Normally they go into the compost for the vegie garden.
    But now you''ve mentioned it, I'll try crushing them to a powder in the mortar and pestle and adding them into soups and stews.
