What are some good excuses to miss work that won't result in the boss asking questions?

Just tell 'em that good ol' Randy D is stopping by your place later and you need a few hours to prepare.  They'll understand.

I always find the ol leprosy flare up again is good ... They definitely don't want to get too close in case something drops off and they find it a tad embarrassing to talk about ... In fact they quiet often suggest more time off ... works like a charm!

I'll tell you an excuse to NEVER use. That your kid is ill. I did it once and within a couple of days my kid actually became ill. i took that as a sign to never lie so whatever excuse you come up with should be truth-based. You're a clever woman. You will surely come up with something truthful like "I just didn't feel like coming to work so I played hookey".  Your refreshing honesty might just work well for you. Your boss will know you don't lie and that is a very good thing to have in an employee. A truthful person is worth keeping .

All my notifications are gone AGAIN JA. There were dozens of them yesterday and now there are none except for one I received 46 minutes ago. Is this going to be a permanent glitch? There are some days I get a lot of notifications and can't get to them that day. When the alerts system worked for me they never disappeared. Only when I purposely deleted them did they go away. Now I have no control over them. Did you program them to automatically disappear after a certain length of time? Where do they go? To oblivion or is there some  specific place they are collected and stored and therefore can be retrieved? I ask a lot of questions every day and I do that so I can get answers/responses and then we engage in conversation. If they disappear into thin air before I get to them it is very annoying. Can you fix the glitch or is this a forever thing? Thanks and Happy Sunday. Can you them retrieve for me if I am not allowed to do so? Or are they gone with the wind? For male bosses, I had good luck with 'lady troubles'. They never asked for details.
