    The only thing that depresses me during the holidays is the fact that I give gifts that total a large percentage of my annual income.

    It's a little depressing because some loved ones are not here any more.

    The holidays don't depress me. I do get a little sad at times because so many of my loved ones are no longer here.

    Since I don't observe the holidays, I don't feel any of the pressures many go through this time of year. I actually try not to venture out too much .  I will go out to do necessary shopping, but that's about it. the crowds are scary this time of year.
