EU referendum day in the UK now. Which side are you on and why?

Polls suggest we will remain but there is a good chance of a brexit.

I don't have a dog in the fight but don't know what the down side is if they leave.

I am on the side of humanity and all who support respect, love, compassion and loyalty to what is best for all.

    Is that popular over there?

  • I'd like to see the UK stay put in the EU.

If Europe remains united it can be more effective in creating positive social and ecological change than if it is divided into may small nations.

I think it would be possible to develop protections against the inequalities of wealth and earning between nations, the most effective being to gradually reduce and eliminate all debt which is not backed by guaranteed capacity for repayment.

I'm voting for Brexit. I have never been able to see what favours being in the EU has done for the British.

Doubt the UK will get on with it at all. Constitutional politics is huge here right now.

I don't think much would actually change with the UK leaving the EU so I'm not too bothered. Just hope it leads to indyref2.

Say NO to global tyranny and get the hell out of that new world order tyranny known as the EU. It is your last chance to preserve your nation and what little freedom is left over there. Get the hell out and embrace freedom again.

I think MY nation already proved they don't care about freedom when they voted to stay in the UK

Aim not from the UK, but it seems you're always better off when you can make decisions for yourself. I'd say exit.

wouldn't say the British government having more power is necessarily a good thing but a fair point.

  • I will be opting for out, though I suspect the national choice will be for a remain vote.

As for why, that's easy - accountability is the reason.  If you cannot hold the power making structure to account, you do not have a democracy.  The representative democracy we have already is the ugly, stupid relative that should be kept in the basement.  It needs improving but that of course requires turkeys voting for Christmas..

However, we're a little bit closer to what we should have if we leave.  Another level of politicians is removed and the people are a little bit closer to being able to exact influence where the power lies.

The amount of scare tactics used by the remain side has been disgusting.. I have no position on it.. I am not in the EU so it's not big on my radar..

Yeah it's typical but the leave side has been filled with scaremongering and hate as well. I think that's why people haven't got as engaged with this referendum as the Scottish one. No positive side in this.

Staying in! I think we will be screwed if we leave. The EU is good for our economy, jobs and protects our rights. It looks like the turn-out will be high. I hope so, it will make it hard for people to dispute the result if more people vote.
