I've been a member of that website for 6 years now, Sapphic. My display name there is ZebedyZak and I've commented on hundreds of records there. I also used that screen name on Answerbag between 2012 and 2015.

It was the title of an obscure song. I once spotted it at a record fair and I liked the sound of the name, so I decided to use it as an online pseudonym. I've always liked songs like this since I was a child, although this one wasn't a hit and I didn't get to hear it when it first came out. I'm sure I would have liked it at the age of seven.

    No way! Ha!
That is fascinating! I had no idea Prince wrote that song, Andy B! Thanks for sharing that!

I've known for 30 years, Welby. I bought "Manic Monday" on a single when it was a hit and I found out then that Prince wrote it. Another big hit he wrote was Chaka Khan's "I Feel For You". Remember that one? That all-star collaboration also featured rapper Melle Mel and a harmonica played by Stevie Wonder. No "Wonder" it was such a big hit! Lol:)

Nope, I didn't know about that one, either! I LOVE Chaka Khan, too!
    That's a great song, you're right!
    Thanks, Andy B!

The Chaka Khan one was a massive success, Welby. I thought you'd have remembered it, it was a hit in 1984. It was in the charts at the same time as Madonna's "Like A Virgin". I remember the fact that the two singles had consecutive release numbers. Both were distributed by Warner Brothers.

Yeah, I was unclear in my post. Sorry, AndyB! I remember the Chaka Khan song well --  I just meant in my comment that I didn't know Prince had written it.
    :)
Consecutive release numbers - - that's cool, too!

I posted those labels to reveal the release numbers (W 9209 and W 9210). At least it worked this time. Last time I tried to post an image it didn't work. It must have been a glitch that's been fixed now. I hope so. :)

I love that song. I think it's one of his best. Interesting listening to it in the version of Foo Fighters. I have to admit this song is so much synonymous with Prince to me, anyone making it a cover will have a tough time. But it's decent. Thanks sharing. Loved it. :-)

I've been in a very Foo Fighter space lately. It's not as good as Prince's version, no doubt. Caused such a scandal, that song, didn't it? : ) Glad you liked it!

What is a Foo Fighter anyway? I've never known where they got that name from. Come to think of it, I don't even know what a Foo is. Lol:)

  • It's a WW2 allied pilot term.  It's what they called unexplainable anomalies in the sky.

Similar to the Flying Dutchman in nautical speak.

I thought unexplainable anomalies in the sky were called (or caused by) UFOs. Lol:)

I didn't know. I do know what a Foo dog is, though. Kinda cute, kinda creepy, huh?
