Have you ever been on Norethindrone (a birth control pill) ?

Did you have any side effects? I am experiencing some weight gain in past couple months since beginning this, and it is a side effect on bottle- has anyone else had this too ?

    It's a birth control to mainly stop endometriosis, not pregnancy

  • Yes, I knew a girl that went on something in order to stop her cycle. It resulted in her gaining about 10 pounds. The reason being, is some birth control tricks your body into thinking it's pregnant, and weight gain is something your body does to support the pregnancy.

    Ugh, and I've gained a bit more than 10... that must be the reason :/ I am ALWAYS hungry, when I wasn't like that before. I mean I liked food, but I wasn't hungry every 2 hours. Ty for that tip T....think I might try to change meds

    No. Never used the pill. Have used the shots...along time ago.
