What makes you an "Ugly American"?

  • I'm going to answer this question in past tense. What made me an "Ugly American" was I was defending the country so blindly calling it the best country in the world, and forgetting that everything founded on the oppression of people of color, and there continues to be huge controversial choices America still makes. To sum it up it was the ignorance I had, and the brainwash we are shown in school, that America is a great perfect country, when in fact it's not.

    I don't speak any European languages. Everyone in Europe knows 5 different languages and are highly refined in art and culture. Non-European countries are better because they're not Western.
