How old were you when you first raided the liquor cabinet?

I was 12ish.

    Well, in my family it is complicated.   We had wine with dinner on Sundays.   It is an Italian custom to drink wine with dinner. 

    So, the liquor cabinet was raided by me in 8th grade, but I was no stranger to alcohol before then either.

  • my family it was pretty much a given to have a small glass of wine, beer, or a weak bloody Mary at holidays or weddings.  I knew what it tasted like long before too.

  • Never did that lol. I didn't drink for the first time until I was almost 20. My parents pretty much only have wine, though.

  • I have a similar story to Sharrona's - my mum always allowed me to sip her sherry that she always drank when she was getting ready to go out somewhere..  and similarly we were allowed to try alc from a very young age..

    I think for this reason I never saw it as a big deal.. I love a drink and am very good at drinking lol but I control it not the other way round

    I never raided it.  My dad started serving me alcohol with dinner when I was 12 so it wouldn't be a big deal to me when I was a teenager.  When I became an adult at 18 but wasn't 21 yet I just gave my dad money for beer or wine and he went to the store to get it for me.
