Having learned something about what Alinksy ACTUALLY DID in his life, I am nominally a fan.
But, of course, as your picture indicates, invoking Alinsky's name is just Vast Right-Wing Echo Chamber dog whistle for "TEH STOOPID EBIL LIBRUHLZ! BE AFRAID!", much as the sneer "Community Organizer" (or, frequently, "Community Agitator") is used against the Nig...er, Nazi Kenyan Marxist Socialist Indonesian Communist Terrorist Muslim in the White House.
It has very little to do with who the man actually was and what he actually did.
I think you are trying to imply that current leaders studied him to follow this list as an example of what to do to gain control.
That is twisted logic at best. This was a visionary stating what he observed and what to look out for.
It is what the result is right now, YES. But Hillary is not setting out to take advantage of exploiting the world.
TRUMP is the perfect head of this idiotic example but being an idiot, he has no idea that he IS an idiot.
Your reply is twisted logic IMO.
Have you ever read his book Rules for Radicals? If not, perhaps you should. That is something he ACTUALLY DID in his life!
I do not subscribe to his thinking, but I can appreciate the fact that he fully-disclosed his true thinking for the world to see. There is something to be said for those who put all their cards on the table like that...
No I don't support him... it's basically a how to guide to keep people in oppression. However one blogger wrote how to use Saul Alinsky's book Rules for Radicals against liberals not like that counts but it's still entertaining :D
@Drue -- Have you? Or have you only read what Right-Wing f***tards on the Internet SAY Alinsky rules are?
Here's the list from Wikipedia:
And, yes, Alinksy applied these rules in his own life to organize (almost entirely poor/urban/ethnic) communities to improve living conditions, gain access to voting, demand better treatment from employers, and so forth.
Of course, Right Wing Authoritarian f***tards don't want Nig...er, THOSE PEOPLE to have political power. That's the province of the Rich, Corporate, and White. So, of course, Alinksy must be demonized because his methods have proven to be effective.
And, in sweet irony, Alinsky himself recognizes who the opposition is and lays out their thinking quite clearly:
Seeking some meaning in life, they turn to an extreme chauvinism and
become defenders of the "American" faith. Now they even develop
rationalizations for a life of futility and frustration. "It's the Red menace!"
Now they are not only the most vociferous in their espousal of law and
order but ripe victims for such as demagogic George Wallace, the John
Birch Society, and the Red-menace perennials. Insecure in this fast-changing world, they cling to illusory fixed points—which are very real to them. Even conversation is
charted toward fixing your position in the world: "I don't want to argue
with you, just tell me what our flag means to you?" or "What do you think of those college punks who never worked a day in their lives?" They use revealing adjectives such as
"outside agitators" or "troublemakers" and other "When did you last beat
your wife?" questions.(Rules for Radicals, p. 189)
As you can see, what you provided that's allegedly from Alinsky has f*** all to do with who Alinsky actually was and what he actually did in his life.
Oh, sure. There's nothing unique to Rules for Radicals that can only be applied by poor/urban/ethnic/nominally liberal people.
Ultimately, Rules for Radicals is about recognizing how political power works, and how to use resources to make political power work for one's own goals.
Of course, the Rich and Corporate don't bother with that. Instead, they buy their own politicians, think tanks, and propaganda networks. But far fewer people know about the Powell Memorandum than Saul Alinsky.
Once again, someone shouts "TEH STOOPID EBIL LIBRUHLZ IS STOOPID...AND EBIL!"...and the Usual Suspects all line up to cheer. It is laughably predicatable.
Old School... oh please like there's no liberal forums full of:
all up in the comment sections.
Anyone accepting this nonsense as actual Alinsky statements, should read this.

I'm afraid to say that the content you have presented is a terminological inexactitude.
