When my doc says "it's all in your head " does that mean he actually listened to me for once?

    ummm .. Well, listened to you ... yes, "believes you "  .. no. That means he is not finding anything medical to substantiate your concerns .. that your symptoms are "all in your head".  This post was edited by bikergirl40 at January 16, 2017 9:01 AM MST

    He usually just sits there writing out a prescription for fake pills while I am talking then he walks out.

    What do you mean 'fake pills"?  Doctors can not give prescriptions for "fake pills" .. nor can a pharmacy charge you for "fake pills".
    If you feel he is 'dismissing' you .. then perhaps it's time to start seeing a different doctor.

    Yes he is a terrible doctor and I am probably the only patient still seeing him but he's my drinking buddy and he needs the money to pay for his share of the booze.
