Do you have a favorite saying?

I just now saw one that I've made my new favorite:

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

Right now it's,  "No, that's above my pay grade." Got it from Francis Underwood, House of Cards.

  • Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

  • That's a classic. Heinlein liked his cats.

I hope a Christian one is okay..I'm not trying to convert any non-believer.  " I am so satisfied with my Savior, HE means more to me than anything, ANYTHING that this world could ever offer me." ~Song lyrics.

The song is one of my favorite earworms. (An earworm, sometimes known as a brain worm, sticky music, or stuck song syndrome, is a catchy piece of music that continually repeats through a person's mind after it is no longer playing.) Earworms?  I didn't know there was a name for that annoying occurrence. I've been doing that a lot lately. I don't generally annoy myself, but those times are the exception.

  • Even at your age, there's surely always something. :)

(Oh boy, sure hope you didn't take that as an insult....sure isn't meant to be)

  • Oh, yeah. When I stop enjoying I'll be ready to turn up my toes. The capacity for enjoyment is still there but the form has changed. (I don't expect to run another marathon or stay up all night dancing.)

Retirement has been good. I've had the time to do lots of things I couldn't do while I was working.

  • It may be an original. It was used by a woman on Ask.com and it's possible she wrote it herself.
