I just posted a question pointing out the Hypocrisy of the US issuing travel warnings, when we have daily proof how dangerous it is to live in the USA.

Hope you get a lot of hits for asking that. It will be interesting to see if any Americans answer. Most of them never admit hypocrisy you see. That would be a weakness according to them. Telling the truth. Imagine that? Thank you for your reply Uc! :)

It says the Bahamian governments thinks the citizens there are fools.  A smart person wouldn't go to another country and be "confrontational."

Apologies m'dear. Some people can't handle the truth. Some Americans are very good examples of that. It's embarrassing to me personally. Thank you for your reply Uc and Happy Sunday to thee! :)

I saw that warning  WW. How very sad is that?  I guess the America of the Wild West is still with us. Thank you for your reply! :)

You know that will NEVER happen pearl. The NRA (National Rifle Association) owns American politicians and would never stand for it. But it's a really nice thought! Thank you for your reply m'dear!  :)

    Yeah, right.

The intentional homicide rate in the Bahamas was on the order of 29.8/100,000 people in 2012. That's more than 7-times greater than the intentional homicide rate in the USA. If you want to reduce your risk of dying at the hands of a criminal you'll be wanting to stay away from the Bahamas.

Many Bahamians are black. There is a disproportionate amount of violence exacted upon black people in the United States in comparison with other ethnicities. Truth be told, there are people who see black skin and equate it with a threat. If and when a highly-charged situation arises, the person carrying out the action is not likely to ask one's nationality, but instead will see one's skin color.

Sad but true, the warning makes sense.
