Condolences Rooster. I'm sure there is another dog out there who needs you and when you're ready he will find you. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :)
Usually yes. Not always tho.. sometimes it's better to be alone than to be in a negative or destructive relationship.. or even an uneven one where we do all the caring and giving and they just take... In those cases we might be better off with a cat or dog or even a goldfish
Actually sweetie I was thinking about our cat Tigger. Jim and I have long been empty-nesters. Our kids have been on their own for decades! Once a parent always a parent. You develop a need to care for someone/something who depends on you. Tigger is totally dependent on us for everything. He is a stray who adopted us and has been part of the family for over 10 years. We lavish affection on him and he returns the favor. I would advise against goldfish. They die off mysteriously and you can't cuddle them and they don't crawl up on your lap and nuzzle your neck. Plus they're wet! Thank you for your reply DdbTD and Happy Monday! :)
