  • I'll see your Blah and raise you a Bletch! I know it's popular but much of that is just PR. It's ghastly.

Lots of places I want to go. It would depend on who'd join me, or who'd I be visiting. Can't say one place over another. There will always be Paris, France. Love that city. Simply do. Can never get enough of it. But with a free trip it should be outside Europe. Hmm.

  • One of the world's most fascinating cities. I'd like to see Vienna, too, and probably Budapest.

Been in Budapest, lovely place too. Unfortunately only driven by Vienna with no time to make a stop, any other than a cup of coffee. Meh.

  • I always wanted to go there. Probably won't and I'm okay with that.  It's not a typical American travel destination, it's in a part of the world you don't here or see about often in film, news, or tv. It has an interesting history with some similarities to the US ( which is interesting to me being US). Argentina is one of those places that is somewhere between Western 1st world and 2nd world. Plus I've often seen that it's one of the best places to see traditional European architecture.  The style of Europe were heavy there but it wasn't torn apart by two World Wars. It's got a lot of variety in landscape too.
Argentina is supposed to have beef  arguably superior to kobe beef too.  It just seems like a neat place in a part of the world that is kinda ignored by media.

  • All excellent points. The bit about European archicecture is surprising, though.

I agree. I've been there twice, and I loved it. Great weather/climate, its population is diverse, the food was wonderful, etc.

  • Italy has so much to offer anybody, but with an Italian heritage I should think it has something extra.
