Do you ever hear someone calling your name right as you are drifting off to sleep?

It's happened to me a few times and it's really weird.

    I get that, too. It's like they're yelling, sometimes whispering, right into my ear and I jolt up.

  • No, can't say as I have. I thought I've heard my Hound dog barking a few times when I was drifting off but he's gone now,so it was just a quick dream.

    It has happened.  I have also been jarred wide awake by a sharp rap, though upon investigation, no one is at the door and I can find nothing out of place to have caused the sound.

    Yes, several times.  It sounds like they are standing right by my bed. It's always someone I love and miss so much I can't stand it.   The last time was about a year ago.   Wonderful and horrible at the same time.
