Methink a start but enemies of the Sate will get around them just not so many. We will be fighting terror cells still but now not whole armies like this is France.

You mean some of these terrorists just going to a non-Muslim country to board an airplane bound for the U.S? This post was edited by Zack at January 28, 2017 12:35 PM MST

Seldom do they directly come here anyway without some pit stop in between and so they get citizenship from France first. It just adds a few years or less. This post was edited by O-uknow at January 28, 2017 12:22 PM MST

    Bad List imo
causes much distress regarding all past work
at building Peace in the world.
Now Iran has banned Americans from entering Iran.
    what would you expect?

If you want to go with the list
the country that the 9/11 perpetrators
were from is not even on the list.

    I prefer bridges
    to global peace

Does This whole thing seem to be creating a big separation,
a Trumps war, if you will,
between Muslims and Christians? imo yes

    I agree with mr O
the terrorists if they want too enter the US
this action will not stop them,
and might just might give them fuel
    to enflame their ideology.

    Peace out

    Hello Zack:

I'm a lib.  Libs believe in INCLUSION, not EXCLUSION..  I'm also a Jew.. Jews KNOW about hatred..  We were put in camps too.  It didn't end well for us.

And, as we know, in Der Pumpkinfurher's world, feelings about something are more important than empirical reality or the rule of law...;-D...

Smart move, best thing that could have happened.  Countries in Europe are already lamenting the fact they let them in due to the crime and terrorists coming in with the refugees.

I think the order will ultimately be found unconstitutional (but I could be wrong).

I don't see how it could be justified under the principles of equality before the law and not having religion-specific tests for application of law.

The order I read was not about refugees; it was about immigration.  Immigration from some countries has been halted for now.  Religion wasn't part of it.  Is there another order besides this one.

This should have been done a long time ago.

No need to act like we have not done this before.  We have.  It is prudent.  It is part of keeping us safe.

@TM -- If you had actually read the helpful link excon provided, in the second paragraph you would have read:

"In an executive order that he said was part of an extreme vetting plan to keep out “radical Islamic terrorists,” Mr. Trump also established a religious test for refugees from Muslim nations: He ordered that Christians and others from minority religions be granted priority over Muslims."

All pigs are created equal, but some are more equal than others...;-D...

There is no link. You and Ex keep listening to the press for their opinion.    Why not just read the order to see what it says rather than let the press put their spin on it.   You might also like to know this is a temporary measure.  And golly gee, the word  Christian is nowhere in the EO.  However, my opinion is Christians should have priority since their heads seem to be favored by ISIS.

@TM -- My mistake. The original post by Zack provided the link.

    Here you go:

Re: You might also like to know this is a temporary measure.

Oh, REALLY? How long has it been since 9/11/2001? In four months the Magic Pumpkinfuhrer is going completely solve the problem of international terrorism and lift the ban? What makes you think that?

I suspect the ban might be lifted when it becomes clear the courts will strike it down or the popular backlash reaches a high enough pitch, but that will be a political consideration, not an empirical one.

Re: "However, my opinion is Christians should have priority ..."

Yep, all pigs are created equal, but Christian pigs are more equal than F***ING HAJDI pigs.  I note your special concern for the more-equal-than-others Christians doesn't extend to the Yazidis, who also have been severely persecuted by ISIS/ISIL.

I hereby reiterate the question I asked you which prompted my recent 2-week ban.
