Witches and Wiccans are pretty much the same thing. Satanists are different breed altogether. Wiccans and witches worship nature and all that's good, can't say the same about the other group. Besides, wiccans and witches don't even believe in Satan.
The woman who founded the Askaholics web site (after ask.com closed its doors) is Wiccan. Very capable person. She was vilified by a handful of Christians on the site who didn't like her beliefs.
That's a shame. Wiccans are usually very nice people, very calm and understanding. Some Christians are just looking for someone to hate. Notice I didn't include ALL Christians in that. It's just another religion, it it is a religion of do as ye will but harm no one. Most Wiccans are more devoted to their beliefs than some Christians are to theirs.
It is, that['s why I said 'some'. :) I know some very devout Christians and some very devout Wiccans. Can't say I know any Satanists though, unless I do know some and just don't know that much about their private lives.
We might say the same thing about any spiritual philosophy from Christianity to Judaism to Islam to Shinto, to Taoism, to...
Take me, for instance. I'm a Pastafarian and we worship the mighty and benevolent Fluing Spaghetti Monster. Unlike some of the other religions we can offer proof positive that his Noodliness exists, as you can see in this picture taken during his recent visit to Colorado.
Three different kettles of fish, methinks. I guess if we searched hard we'd find some commonalities, especially between witches and Wiccans, though they're quite different.
