What is Brexit supposed to even mean? What does that stand for?

Half of the people who voted probably don't either.

  • It stands for "breakfast exit", it's when you leave IHOP early in the morning.

They sure didn't understand what an exit meant. That's for sure. Some of the most googled words in UK the day after was "What does it mean to leave EU?" and "What is EU?" Hmm.

I'm not kidding.  A handful of people seem to know the issues.

Brexit became strong as a protest against the system/establishment. It's seen within Europe on a numerous cases. And it should be familiar within the US with the popularity of a certain Trump. It's most of all a protest build on an utopia. The real challenge is it's build without a political program to ensure how to reach utopia. Reality is now a wake-up call for the establishment as the protesters that now backs off some of their own slogans (as they were utopia and not something that can be achieved in reality). Now they tell.

Well, they have not one sane plan IN PLACE.   Nothing.  They are victims thrown out there for the highest bidder to come along and take over.  (terrorists are you listening?)

They most certainly have no plan. They know what they don't want. But they don't know what they want instead. Same goes for Trump.

  • People know exactly what they voted for.

Brexit is about democracy and self governance. Dictatorships have a plan. Free countries make it up as they go along by having elections. Brexit will mean whatever the British people decide it means. Britain will make mistakes as all nations do. Though they will be our mistakes, not the mistakes of some faceless unelected bureaucrat.

People who voted remain did it for various reasons. Most did it out of unfounded fears of the economic consequences of leaving. Some did it because they hold far left political views. England is generally right of centre. The leftists know they have a better chance of forcing a socialist government on us through European integration, than through national democracy.
