It is a reshuffling of the deck to remove what is on top, new world order, and replace it with an alternative agenda, national sovereignty . Reunification with the EU should happen once certain member countries have gained the equivalent of State's rights protecting them against the supreme authority of higher government or the EU in this case.

British-exit. No longer under the European thumb. But judging by the way their leader, Theresa May (not Brian May's sister btw) fumbled and folded in front of the CHAMP, Donald Trump, after promising to challenge him publicly about his apparent sexism, they may be under the American Thumb from here on out.
Politicians love to posture. Our own prime minister made threats about what he would do to Putin at the G8 summit held in Oz a few years ago. Of course, when the time came he was as meek as a lamb.
