If money is the root of evil, why do they ask for it in church?

i just have $5 this morning!

    ya got it wrong, pal.......the COMPLETE statement is......'the love of money is the root of all evil'.

    but I DO agree with you about those damn churches.........always beggin', etc.

    I always said that if you wanna give to a church, give to the ones in your back yard!!  the ones in your town!!!!

    at least you'll know where the money's gonna be used........well, at least that's the way it's supposed to happen!!!!!!!!!

    The church does not really want to take your money but you must pay for your sins. There is a formula that calculates how much you have to pay for your sins. If you sin once it's  $5.00. If you repeat the sin $10.00. Next time  $20.00. Cost doubles each time you repeat the sin.
