Don't you wish that the time and date a question was POSTED readily showed here? I couldn't care less when the last answer appeared.

  • Not really :/ if I could have a wish would be bigger and better than time and date of stuff posted here . I wish for a pony and a boat then.... Cos that's bigger and better.

It doesn't really bother me on AM like it does on other sites.. there's enough activity here to keep it entertaining.

  • It's not a problem. It's fairly clear from a question's position in the list waiting to be answered how long it's been there.

    "Fairly clear"?
How does that translate to the time and date?

  • Does it really need the time and date? An approximation has to be adequate, surely?

  • Have you tried dividing the number of words in the question by the number of tildes on the head of a pin?

  • I'm gonna go get my calculator so I can keep up with this. Back in a while.

It only works on an ancient abacus. No newfangled contraptions, please.

A date and time inside the question would be enough, or even better a possibility to filter all questions by a few options:

    - time of post
    - last reply
    - popularity (replies and likes)
    - maybe one or two more options

Yes, and even more important: who posted the question. That mug avatar is used by thousands of people.

Thousands might be slightly overstating the correct numbers. By far the most members posting here do have an avatar.

Yes, I know, but the one I try to avoid uses the mug. (I don't block people, I just don't read their stuff.)

Exaggerations won't talk your case. As it's only one you will likely be able to recognize their questions, and thereby easily be able to ignore them. All my best.
