What unexpected disaster might befall a small village in rural England?
I have to develop a disaster recovery plan for my village. This is so that we are prepared in the event of something untoward happening. What should I make sure we are prepared for?
Cut off by the snow in winter, power lines down and no Electricty ....No electric means that gas boilers cease to work and you have no light or heating and your pipes are more likely to freeze up... Roads quickly become impassable and getting hot food and any medical help can become a real problem to....
Flooding is also a huge problem as rivers often break their banks and flood many homes in some cases almost yearly... The Goverment let developores build homes on many flood planes and these homes suffer badly with even roads being washed away.... Public transport is non existant in certain villages and the old that live alone with no neighbors are problems to....
