A few months back, we were returning from an outlet mall, we stopped at a shop because I had 'to go'. I rushed inside and walked into a glass door....what I assumed to be a glass door....;(( it was horrible ...my face was badly bruised especially the jaw area, miraculously I borrowed ice and kept applying it ....the bruise healed but I couldn't eat any solid food for a few weeks...! Like the picture here, except I wasn't carrying anything;))

You retold the story beautifully, you draw a wonderful mind-picture!

  • First question: "No, I haven't."
Second question: "Logic would lead one to believe that there is a right way and many wrong ways." This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 26, 2017 9:16 PM MST

Near the lock like in the illustration. Anywhere else produces a breach or hole.

  • My husband seems to know how to kick a door it.  We were waving goodbye to a relative one morning standing just outside the door leading to the garage, when we turned around to come back into the house the door had locked behind us. I'm sure we looked like a couple of twits especially since I was still in my dressing gown.  All the other doors to the house were locked so my husband gave the door two swift kicks and it burst open which surprised both of us we thought doors were a bit sturdier than that.

Nope.  I did prompt a drunk friend to put a brick through his new, custom-made, double-paned kitchen window once, though, after he locked his keys inside.  Funny thing was, all he really needed to do was knock on the door...his brother was home.

When I asked if he didn't know how to break into his own house, I wasn't expecting him to do that...lol

Perhaps, and with a big side of stupid.  That was the only custom made window he had, why he picked that one is beyond me.

Everytime I ran into him for the next couple of years I would bust out laughing...not trying to be mean, I really couldn't help it.  It was funny!  :)
