Naw, I don't think so; I'm too old for shenanigans like those.

Is that you and your beloved Randy? If not why choose that photo?  What is its significance? Thank you for your reply and the graphic and Happy Thursday!  :)

I never post my actual images online, the photos I use are based on keyword searches.

The significance is that I tried to find a photo that closely depicted me. As for my wife, who is Asian, it's proven extremely difficult to find (clean, wholesome) photos of a black man and an Asian woman, so I have to compromise, I have to substitute. Meh.

I betcha somewhere there is a perfect graphic that would do justice to you and your wife. The trick is finding it. I am always amazed at those folks who are able to find exactly the right image for any circumstance. I only know how to do the  simple stuff. Others are able to fancy up their replies.  The ones that totally amaze me are those that move. How do they DO THAT? Thank you for your reply Randy and Happy Friday! :)

I once had the ability to post the ones that move (known as gif), but for some reason for the past few months they are always still-life photos.

Do you know HOW the movement occurs in graphics when it works? It mystifies me!  But then many things do. Thank you for your reply Randy! :)

The best way I can explain it is that they're similar to short films or tiny movies, I guess.

It's all magic to me Randy. I'm easily mystified.  Actually I guess I like it that way. Here's an example. I worked for a couple who owned some McDonald's restaurants. Each year they took office staff, store managers, assistant managers and their dates/spouses somewhere special. One year it was Medieval Times. Another year it was Disneyland. They had a good lawyer friend who had an"in" at Disneyland. He facilitated our having dinner at that "secret" restaurant above "Pirates of the Caribbean". After dinner we all walked around together. We went to the Haunted mansion and rode the ride. I don't know if you are familiar with it but there are holograms of people...wraiths....that you see here and there. After the ride the friend offered to explain how the "wraith" illusions were created. I said I'd rather be mystified and walked away out of earshot. By now you know I am always asking "why" or "how" but in some instances I want to be amazed. To me it would be like cutting open a drum to find out where the sound comes from. In so doing you destroy it. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

That makes perfect sense to me because there are some instances where I just don't want to know more.

They already left me, not sure why but one day, possibly, I will find out.  This post was edited by Art Lover at March 2, 2017 10:35 AM MST

They left you? I don't understand Star but you don't have to explain if it's too hurtful. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday!  :)

I did it once but it turned out that I was wrong and my family was right. Fortunately, I'll not make that mistake ever again. This post was edited by Zack at March 2, 2017 10:41 AM MST

    ???
I have good friends.   My family is not the determiner of any plan I have no matter what the choice, because I do not respect my family enough to trust their opinions on anything.

But my friends?  If they did not like my beloved, I would listen.    There would have to be a good reason for them to take that stance.

I have before because the heart wants what it wants. But I've since learned that if everyone hates your partner, there's probably a good reason for it. It is because of this that I had the courage to end a relationship in August '16.

They see things you don't.  It's kinda like having a built-in sounding board that has your back and your best interests in mind. Thank you for your reply AG! :)

Very true. You're welcome. Sorry I haven't been around much. I usually just come on here when I visit my parents.

That's way better than not at all AG! You say you visit them weekly! So once a week we can chat. How nifty is that? Thank you for your reply! :)

Yep. You're welcome. :) It's usually to help them with garbage/recycling. There is a lot of stuff here as we are a family of 15, so there is a ton of stuff to go through. It is never ending. Easier now that most of us have moved out, though.
