Just for the sake of talking....do you not think they see their flag the same way you see yours? Do you not think that our worship of the flag represents superiority over others? I mean, don't we chant "we are number one!!"? We don't really wave the flag and chant, " we are thee same, we are the same!!" No?
Those people see something good in death and they see good in their superiority over whole races. As far as that, superiority to me means the freedoms we have compared with other countries. Not races. The Nazi's never would talk about what happened to those people that died simply just being who they are. That is the only part the world will ever see. Everyone including you will have a differing opinion on that. As it stands, we can agree to disagree.

Let me me just say this...a while back I posted a question asking, very simply, "what is America number one at?" And besides obesity, gun stuff, and things like that, there was not one positive answer. So maybe your ideas are a little on the romantic side. You may think I'm being argumentative, but I assured you I'm not.
Romantic? I would wholeheartedly agree with you there Lago. It's a matter of perception, but it doesn't mean that any of us are wrong about that perception.
You are completely right about that! A Romanticized view of things does not automatically make that particular view wrong, facts usually take care of that. )
Yeah yeah, But people are making this guy to be the architect of a RW infiltration. Come on. As if they just got there. As if they were not there all along. All this guy did was make it OK to be publicly what they already were. In terms of flag worship and the America can't do no wrong mentality, these people condemn the Nazis but ignore our share of atrocities around the world. And, BTW, I have a flag and army stickers on my car, but I don't romanticize them. I see them for what they are.
No. Reason being that flag represents the American people and an idealism we hold dear. It does not represent a particular leader and his government, as did the swastika flag of Nazi Germany. Our flag has changed only to add stars to represent new states, not at the whim or demand of a leader. Our government does many things with which I vehemently disagree, but that flag belongs to us, the people of America.
