Is devising ways to increase the intelligence of animals to better communicate with them without increasing the level of intelligence in

humans to stop killing and eating them cruel and unusual punishment?

    What if we give plants the ability to communicate with us?
    Poor asparagus, I would feel bad for it but it just tastes so darn good. :(

    Perhaps it would be better to increase the intelligence of us humans.

    But I think the real problem is that no one of humans really knows or understands the role of what we categorize as suffering in the experience of our existence.

    I avoid inflicting suffering when I can, but there may be another set of books in the universe that may show it to be something that redounds to our benefit.

    We may not have the whole picture.
