  • My wife tells me that she will cremate me and put my remains in a Mountain Dew bottle. She knows me so well.

  • Well, assuming that I outlive my parents, I don't have any family to do anything with them. But I would personally rather be cremated and have my ashes spread in some beautiful California location.

I think I might donate my body for medical research. Not sure what they do with the remains. Gotta find out more details.

That's what I plan to do. We have a Medical College here and I have to register. When they are finished with me, I will have my remains buried at sea from A US Naval Vessel.

I have no idea.  I just hope they "make sure" I'm really dead before they bury me or whatever.
Being put in a casket in the cold ground is not appealing to me.  I'd rather just be put in the ground so I can at least nourish the soil, preferably under a tree (one that won't be cut down anytime soon) that will have "me" leaves on it every year. hahahaha yes I know it's weird, but it is a way of continuing to give (nourishment) after I'm gone.  (The redwood forest has a long living trees)

"Me" flowers would be nice as well.

Not weird at all. They call it a natural burial and you will indeed replenish what you have used from the earth.

My niece discovered this wonderful idea of having your ashes used to fertilize a plant or tree in a forest somewhere.

I don't have any place of real significance that I'd say I'd like my ashes strewn.

  • I'm gonna burn. Mrs Didge knows where to dispose of the ashes.

  • Me too. I spend so much time at this computer than when I doze off with my fingers resting on the keyboard I could easily be mistaken for a corpse. :(

  • I haven't asked. My mother still has my father in a small wooden box so I'm not hopeful it's going to be anything memorable.

I'm being cremated and my ashes will be spread over the Potomac River.

I don't know. I told them to just throw it in the woods, but I don't think they're too keen on that idea.

I'll give you my address.   Tell them to send me some of you.  I collect dead people.  I have my mom in a few bottles and I have all kinds of skeletons of dead animals.

I'd love to have you added to my dead collection.

(the odds of you dying before me are very slim) This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at March 18, 2017 3:38 PM MDT

Me too.  And if I decide to let you "go" I will pick a place I know you will love.  Something ocean and thrown off a yacht.  Maybe in a cocktail glass filled with champagne and ashes.

    Love it.  Love you.
