Milton made Satan sound very noble. I don't think it would have been quite like that. Imagine the US Presidential Elections gone stellar with two candidates vying for the top job. One wins, one loses. I can imagine the guy with the horns taking his bat and ball and going to Hell. He'd hardly want to be top dog in a Congress controlled by his rival.
But a direct answer to your question? Make mine Hell, but I'll leave the ruling to whoever wants it.
I just popped in to the old site to see what was happening. They only seem to complain about the spammers who now provide most of the material posted there. I don't understand why they stay.
What little usable description I've found of heaven presents no interest to me, nor is the criteria for admission there any more appealing. Serve? Who,...a vain deity I had no use for in this life? No thanks. I'd prefer Valhalla instead.
I guess that leaves ruling Hell by default, and it would no doubt contain more compelling company; but I have no expectation that any such place awaits us, either. Btw, I think Mr Dante was "full of it".

I’m afraid the definitions of those two places are such that there’s neither any room for the person in Hell to rule but to be humiliated and utterly ruled over nor is there any need for the person in Heaven to serve but to be served, pampered and utterly fussed over.
