Sad saga of Miguel Perez . Do we owe him anything for his service to our country?

An army vet who served two tours of duty in Afghanistan

He suffered brain injuries during his second tour

When he came home he tried to get a job but couldn't find one

HE WAS A LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE US from the time he was 8 years old

He became a Chicago drug dealer and was convicted in 2010 of selling 2 lbs of cocaine. He served 7 years
in prison

HE IS GOING TO BE DEPORTED

  • Hard to understand the legality of the system on this.  But the Army missed helping him when he ended his service and they need to step up now. I can see he may not qualify as a citizen now but he does have a place in the Country the way I see it.  If he does break the law again then he goes to prison like the rest of us should. But I do not see drug dealing as being nonviolent crimes. Look at all the people who are dead from the deals gone bad and gangs and cartels not to mention the astronomical number of drug related deaths.
