Can you name a food that people either love or hate (i.e. it tends to be polarizing)?

What are some polarizing foods? Foods that people never seem to be "so-so" about:

I'll start:

tofu

People seem to either think tofu is glorious or think it's gag-worthy. I happen to love it. Just ate stir-fried tofu with teriyaki sauce :)

Another example:

candy corn

Nobody "kinda likes" candy corn. You either can't stop snacking on it or you think it's disgusting.

Keep in mind this question is meant to be light-hearted. I'm sure there are people with mild opinions of any of these :)

Oh yes. All of these made my list too! However, I can eat scrambled eggs - if done well - once a year.

  • I know and true.

Scrambled are the only kind I don't much care for.  Okay, but runny yolk is fire.

  • when we had pizza my super fabulous father would always say, "Christ! Its always goddamn pizza!"  Then he'd sit glaring with anger as my Mom served the slices.  Then he would say, "Aw, Christ.  I guess I'll have a slice."  But look away as it was served as if he might get a turd on his plate rather than a slice of pizza.  Ths was small drop in my father vast ocean of stupidity.

  • Kippers.  I cooked them for my husband only once and later found the pan in the rubbish bin, he declared that there was no way the smell could ever be removed.
