Yes. Although I haven't been there much I do love the experience, and I count on you explaining me all about it. :-)

I dunno Zack. I know I enjoy to add experiences. And the few times I've been, I've always been amazed afterwards. :-)

  • Not unless I haven't been sleeping well. That would sure put me to sleep pretty fast! LOL. But you could convince me pretty easy as I always like to look at something different. Maybe I might even stay awake!

I'll throw in a dinner before or afterward. Would that help keep you away or would it make it worse for you?

SURE!  Just give me a few minutes to get dressed.

    (Meanwhile, once I'm in the bedroom . . . )

I see. Not one to sit still for a couple of hours are you?

Sit for a couple of hours, yes. Sit for a couple of hours at the opera or symphony?

Oh Randy, that photo is not funny at all.  Not at all.  It took my breath away when I saw it.  I know I'm supersensitive about suicide but I felt compelled to tell you.

Thrift, would you agree that it's a subjective point of view as to whether or not something is  funny?

You're perfectly entitled to opine as you see fit, as are others to have opposing opinions.

You might be  able to convince me to go to a symphony but not a opera because I find opera singers very self centered - there always standing around and saying - me me me meeeeeeeeee. Cheers!

  • Depends on which  composer's work it is.   No offence Zack but I'd rather go with a lady-friend.

I was thinking of dressing in drag, but I don't think that's what you mean.

  • hahaha!

I am a tad partial to Haendel's Water Symphony and Bach's Brandenburg  Concertos.  Wagner is good for intensity.

Yes to both.  I've been to the symphony, but never to an opera.

I love those things.  I no longer like to dress for them but I get to the symphony often in my capris, T-shirt, and flip flops because they have outdoor concerts here.    I haven't been to an opera in quite a while but it is something I really enjoy.  It's about time for a dress up night I guess, and go enjoy an opera.  :)

  • I wouldn't need any convincing. I've been going to the symphony/opera/ballet since I was a toddler and I cannot wait to go again. Just saw Beethoven's 9th at the SF Symphony last month :)

  • Dear Zack,
I am with your crowd of YES, here...I discovered symphony and opera in San Francisco 1967, and since then attend whenever possible.
