I like casseroles also...but recently, I have been making a special version of fried potatoes. Yellow Finn spuds, sliced carrots, celery, fried in butter with either slivered ham or Hebrew National franks.
I try not to be typical. Our meals vary over several cuisines. My favourite? That would be anything on my plate on the odd occasion Mrs Didge cooks a meal. (She's a better cook then me but when I retired it seemed only fair to give her a spell too.)
I have many favorites. It just depends what I am in the mood for. Last night I made a ground turkey and bean soup. I am in the Betty Crocker recipe club. And I get many great ideas from that.
