Did the Trump Bump slump with the dump of Trumpcare? How is his reputation for being a WINNER dealmaker impacted?

A real deal maker knows when to walk away from the table.

Trump offered the left a compromise that was far more generous than they deserved and the left didn't take it. He needed democratic support to overcome tea party resistance and it wasn't there so he's going to punish you.

Trump is going to wait until Obamacare collapses further and people's premiums have doubled again. Then the left will beg him to come to the table and fix this mess. He'll offer a deal that's further to right of this one and you'll have no choice but to accept it. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at March 27, 2017 10:56 PM MDT

The Affordable Health Care Act was passed WITHOUT A SINGLE REPUBLICAN VOTE! Those who should be "punished" are the Republican Tea Party  (Freedom Caucus) people in his own party who refused to support him. I have no idea why Republicans think Democrats should be any kinder to Republicans than Republicans have been to them...which is not at all. If you think they should then you are very naive. Is that how you treat people who screw you? Give them what they want? Why on earth would you do that? Thank you for your repy TZ and Happy Tuesday to thee! :)

Republicans resisted Obamacare stubbornly because they had everything to lose and nothing to gain. It makes sense for the tea party to refuse to support Trumpcare because it's a RINO bill and they know they can get better.

It makes no sense for the democratic party to resist it because they will not get better. Obamacare is going to collapse and the left is either so stupid it can't see that, or so stubborn it doesn't care.

We offered you mercy and you've rejected it. So you've proved you deserve none. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at March 28, 2017 11:47 AM MDT

Anyone who can see objectively can see he was never that great a deal maker in the first place; he has been bankrupted at least 4 times, faced many lawsuits for his bad business actions, and since, election has faced criticism, (justified) for his poor choices... so it's hardly a surprise he came unstuck this time.. He's all bluff and bluster, shouting, threatening and bullying...and very little substance.

Perhaps that is his appeal to the masses. A true doofus donny who thinks he is the cat's pajamas! Maybe they feel better about themselves every time he screws up. Perhaps they find that endearing. They think "he  is a doofus and a billiionaire. Maybe I can be a billionaire too". Thank you for your reply Addb! :)

You show complete ignorance of even basic business practices here. Trump has never gone bankrupt. 4 corporations he started went bankrput out of HUNDREDS of successful ventures. Corporate bankruptcy is a completely different thing from personal bankruptcy.

I quote what you said, "You show complete ignorance of even basic business practices here." Nice - charming! Regardless of whether he or his ventures went bankrupt - the decision maker was him and so I refer you back to the original comment and the fact that he has hundreds or more of complaints and lawsuits against his business practices... he is by far not the winner deal-=maker he would have his followers believe.

You win some you lose some. Trump wins upwards of 99 % of the time..

The fact the 4 ventures went under is because he LET them go under. Good businessmen know when to hold em and when to fold em. Bad businessmen throw good money after bad. He knows when to walk away.

That is why he will cut through all the unsustainable leftist madness. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at March 29, 2017 1:12 AM MDT
