It seems to be the idea that if somebody else is polluting, it's okay for me to do it too. "Those goddamn gooks aren't stopping, so why should I?" (This despite the fact that China is trying like hell to improve its air quality, Beijing's atmosphere is now so toxic that people are having to wear gas masks).
Dismantling the EPA is in progress. Trump already signed a bill allowing manufacturing plants to dump their poisons into surrounding waters, ground. air, whatever. Because you see such regs/rules LIMIT how much profit they can make. They have to invest in doohickies that purify the crap they dump. That was usta was. Now it's the sky's the limit, the ground is the limit, the air is the limit, the water is the limit. Crap it all up as much as you want so you can get your grubby greedy mitts on the precious bottom-line dollars. After all isn't that what life is all about? SIGH. Thank you for your reply SBF! We have benefitted in California from EPA rules/regs. I believe we are telling Doofus Donny to stick it in his ear. We are going to continue to fight very hard to do what's right. What's he gonna do? Make California an island by cutting if off the mainland? So we end up living in the Hawaiian Islands. How bad can that be? I think there is a question in there somewhere! Stay tuned! :)
