I bet it originally was Antenna TV on the screen. Why do nursing homes always assume old people want to watch old shows? I'm sure some are into GoT and Daredevil and such.

In the future nursing homes will have to show GoT and MadMen and junk like that! That will be funny. "I don't know why Grandpa likes this old fantasy show." "Well dear, probably for the lesbian scenes..."

  • Good point .  They will have to show good old timey wholesome entertainment like Breaking Bad.

Old shows are safe. Homes do not want to upset the sensibilities of their patients.

You are so right!  You don't know the half of it.  At their age, the circulation isn't very good so they can't feel their skin being eaten down to the bone.  There are a lot of elderly people who, even as we speak, are falling victim to the old "piranha in the pool" joke.

In that one sense, yes, it can be a blessing.  But, it's bad for the economy there.  It's really had a very negative effect on businesses that sell pants and shoes.

Well, you are right again, but only to a certain extent.  It's actually created a major boon for the wheelchair industry. Unfortunately, that's triggered a whole new set of problems!  As soon as these elderly people enter the pool, their wheelchairs are being stolen by all sorts of disreputable villains.  Thankfully, at least one was stopped.  He stupidly entered a very popular local race and was caught out on video

No.  Since it was his first offense, he was sentenced to do a few months of community service.  He is now being used as a dust mop in the local nursing home where the wheelchair owner resides.
