If you could have your 'own' museum of mistakes, what would you call it?

Mine would be - "House of thunderous blunders"

    Thank you for asking me. (It's not specifically "my" school of thought; it's just how the words differ.)

    This is a tricky grammar rule, I'll admit, because most other forms of showing possesion in written English use the apostrophe for that exact purpose. The reason it doesn't carry the apostrophe in this instance is that there is no contraction involved. In order for a contracted word to be broken down into two separate elements, the result would be two actual words.

    For instance:
    it's = it is, it has
    don't = do not
    can't = can not
    I'm = I am
    we'd = we would

    And so on.

    However, the eagle spread its wings does not translate to it is wings or it has wings.

    Furthermore, it's not a plural because the noun in your example is the word "name", not the word "it".

    I have to say WW, it is a "pissa!"  It is my native tongue as well.  It is a tricky one.  I get many things wrong.  My grandma would roll over in her grave if she saw my sentence structures these days.    Randy can correct me if I am wrong but most countries put the verb before the noun.  English does the opposite.  Language is an ever changing form of communication.   I have found that most foreigners speak it and write it much better than many of us.  It is the only language I know of that has exceptions and then amended exceptions to the original exception which surely was because someone forget the original rule and made it a now understood rule.  See?  How confusing it can be is truly a "pissa!"  Big giggles.  Actually, I like it when Randy D catches me.  If I am trying to share my thoughts and/or suggestions, I would like to present them in an intelligent fashion.  *Just a quick pause off the question... which I will go back and answer right now!  See you soon on this question again or another!" :)

    I'm speaking of all the sick depraved thoughts I have. Now if I knew the best type of medium to materialize those thoughts, I'd truly be content, but only if I made money off of it.
