Haven't you heard that "gay couples can't procreate" argument?
    Yes..that has been used
It's a circular debate with "them"

Very good point... but maybe they procreate a little or a lot less and their offspring are almost always planned and definitely loved and wanted?

No I haven't. Would you like to edify us about the particulars since I don't have a clue to what you allude? I KNOW a female couple can each get impregnated by male sperm. I KNOW a male couple can have a surrogate carry a child with a pre-selected female egg and their sperm. But I also know that such couples often adopt and that solves a problem. It gives kids already born and here a loving home. What's not to like about that? Thank you for your reply  GJ and Happy Saturday! :)

  • It's part of a greater narrative, Rosie.  A large repertoire of reasons why gay people should not be allowed to get married has been created.

Don't you dare use the logic you stated in defense... LOL   A defensive posture has been developed by them to counter that.  Yeah..It's ridiculous. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at April 9, 2017 3:27 AM MDT

Oy vey! Okay m'dear. I will try to temper/contain the logic. I keep forgetting that there are some folks to whom logic is anathema! Thanks for the clarification. Please keep reminding me to stifle it if I keep forgetting okey dokey?

I don't know Ele. I doubt it though! The extreme right folks religion-wise is my target. The ones who try to legislate compliance with their religious beliefs and force everyone to abide by them. Are the Hobby Lobby folks Catholic? You know they don't approve of birth control so that got the courts to allow them to prevent their employees from having it covered. They foist their beliefs on everyone else. I think that is unconscionable and sucks big time whatever religion they are. Thank you for your question. I don't know if I answered it. I think you can answer it better than I! :)

I am not opposed to "same sex marriage".

I really do not see the point but if a gay couple wants to be legally bound to one another, let them be. There is no need to argue such a matter as it just adds fuel to the fire.

I am prolife but I know women are always going to have abortions, I just don't see why they don't do it sooner rather than later. A woman knows quite soon when she is pregnant so why wait until the fetus starts looking more and more like a person?

I am also opposed to women being charged with a crime who give birth to babies that have FAS or other drug related issues. I feel this leads some women to have abortion in the later stages even if she isn't inclined to.

I'm not exactly sure who the "They" is you are referring to but any sensible person believes in family planning and birth control, just maybe not by the methods you think are best.
