  • I think it's instinctual memory of snakes

Makes sense. We sell statues and have a coiled snake. I like to place them on the ground and see if I get any screams. We had a cat roaming around and I seen next the statue basically puzzled as to why this snake it was attacking would not leave. It would pause look at it then strike it again. Went on for about 30 min or so.

  • Cats aren't the smartest or most sensible animals.

Oh yes they are!!!  I've had dogs all my life and I have had cats.. most of the myths against cats are just that... myths.. cats can even play fetch... erm as long as it's when they want to :P

Exactly... see it's those who don't have cats who tend to make assumptions about what they are like and what they can do... best way to find out about anything.. is to try it..

  • I've owned a few.   They are great leaders if you want to follow a severe  schizophrenic.

We also have dogs and cats. Dogs have never been interested in fetch but the cat did.

I tried the cucumber thing on mine... they ignored it! Mine are either very bright or very laid back and secure in their furry skins
