Nope ...
Because the flag no longer represents the republic that the Constitution created.
It represents a "free-for-all" form of republic, where the government can "interpret" the Constitution by whatever whims are in style.
Nor does the flag represent a republic with "liberty and justice for all".
It never did, even when the Constitution was being followed.
Those are ideals that Americans have constantly had to fight for, both in the courts and with their own blood on our streets.
Finally, Americans are sovereign individuals.
We don't automatically owe allegiance to anyone ... least of all our flag or nation or government.
