Is it really true, that a public swimming pool is completely drained if poo is discovered floating around?

I would think the life guard would just bag it and let those kids keep swimming and playing.

    It depends on the jurisdiction.

There is no federal law ... so it would depend on whether there were any state or local laws.  If not, it would depend on the rules of the community, or the pool.

On the old TV show Undercover Boss this particular itemwas removed immediately, and that was the end of the "situation."

I have no idea what the protocol would have been had the dreaded "brown cloud" appeared at the same time.

  • Interesting ... I guess the "brown cloud" might have me pulling kids out.

It likely varies from location to location. But we were are the community water park and some was found. They made everyone get out and they removed it. Said they added more chemical but not too much. Then had the filter run for an hour with the empty pool. Then they let everyone back in.

  • LOL

I am very amused that this topic has surfaced several times lately...

I have no idea what the correct answer to this is.  I hope they drain the human soup if they find people-nuggets drifting around. Sometimes there may be no other option
