Nope I can honestly say that I have never heard anyone say they feel threatened by America in that respect...quite the reverse I am afraid it's probably the biggest cause of people ridiculing America...they feel that it's quite the reverse of how it actually is.
National pride is another thing... most countries have that

It's not just pride in your country, it's the childish belief that the country you live in just happens to be objectively the best because you live there
I had to look it up... apparently it does, in this context, mean a sense of superiority.. the feeling that they are kinda the chosen ones, above others, an example we should all look up to.
The last one is wikipedia - i generally hate to link to them and avoid where possible ... but felt that this article was perhaps useful in explaining context of this exceptionalism...
I leave this thread with the thought.... if most of the rest of the world have never even heard of the term American Exceptionalism... then I think we can conclude that no one's threatened by it... tho I suspect some people would wish we all were :P
