    As a teen, my girlfriend and I would go. We rarely watched the movie as the windows were all steamed up.

    They kind of went the way that CRT TVs went. We drove through a pay booth,usually with the beer hidden in the trunk. You the drove to a spot with a pole and a speaker, attached it to your window, and watched on an outdoor screen and drank beer. If you saw the movie "Twister", they showed one getting blown away.

  • "No" ... the closest one was in Culver City. A few miles away
    The Studio Drive-In opened August 26, 1948 and was independently operated.
    It was taken over by Pacific Theatres in April 1952.
    Closed in 1993, it was demolished in September 1998.
