Several links saying that most or enough think Trump's visit to the UK should go ahead.. yea well why not it isn't like it really matters much to us... so I can agree on that one... I think he should be made to have *tea* with Prince CHarles tho.. just cos he asked not to :P
I found this article that claimed 15% here would have voted for Trump.. that seems a little high to me lol but it's the only fig I could find.... not that we would get a chance and not saying it's up to us who America votes for... but it remains the fact that most Brits hate Trump... that never goes down well with Trump supporters for sure.. and they would say anythign to dispute it.. but so far no one has managed to offer any evidence to the contrary.. so when I say I've only ever heard from one person who liked Trump... then I guess that bears out what all the other info says... so for every 15 UK Trump admirers there would be 75 who didnt like him... of course certain areas will have more or less than the 15% - i happen to live in the more prosperous higher educated region.. so less Trump support here..
Not saying anyone should care what Brits think :P But it remains what it is...when I say most Brits think it's lunacy to have Pres like that.. then that's what most brits think.. one can like or dislike it.. but it what it is.. and people should at least be aware of it even if they don't like it...
So anyone care to give links or figs?
15% sounds believable - I seem to remember that UK polls taken around the time of the 2004 and 2012 elections found a similar Republican:Democrat split.
I have not yet met anyone who has praised Trump, except indirectly by saying that Hilary would have been even worse.
Based on my limited knowledge of the issues I probably wouldn't have voted for either of them - it seemed like a choice between a bad candidate with a few good ideas, or a mediocre candidate with mediocre ideas - no obvious right or wrong choice.
