Could you survive by eating for less than 20 dollars a week?

Is this a trick question??  You never can tell with you :P SO I converted it to UK money... £15.48 and my answer is yea easily... and bear in mind food prices and indeed everything costs more in the UK... I don't actually spend much more than that now.. I spend around £80-£100 and that's for 4-5 and it includes cleaning products etc... 

I don't doubt that the choices and meals would be limited tho.

Ee-zee . Get 2  - 3 liter cans of red kidney beans each for $3.98,at Super Store here, a few tomatoes and chili sauce for less than $20.00. 

I do that often but I add a variety of veg and hamburger.

im already been doing it, im living on no income thanks to noone wanting to hire me, i do get food stamps so that helps

$20 for one person....easy. 
We have 7 in my house right now....I don't think I spend more than $140/week.

I do it all the time and I'm still alive, just terribly underweight.

It ain't going to happen with this body. I'll end up eating WW for Christ's sake.

If I spent 200 dollars stocking up first. This methink is a conditional question some will answer misleadingly. Once you get to a certain point of independence everything becomes cheaper but the cost of getting there is daunting.
