Do you remember when the 'News' was only on at certain hours and we all heard the same lies?

Now we have different 24 hour news channels that tell us different lies and then we lie to ourselves and claim our preferred network is being honest.
Total Honesty is not an option when you have sponsors and even the programs on PBS are sponsored, and not just by "viewers like you".

I liked when we all gathered around the TV to see the news back in the old days.

Yep.  I don't have a preferred network, I shut the TV off 8 years ago next month.

Edward R. Murrow, Walter Winchell and Walter Cronkite were the last "real" news people.  Mr. Cronkite was the must trusted name in news.  Now, you have a whole lot of "pretty" folks babbling away and saying little of consequence.

It used to be news.  Now it's fluff with a little news thrown in.  We're the losers for it.
